Is there any possible problem that could arise from shiseido's policy to classify its customer based on age?

i took the question a bit different, like from an internal company position is this a good segmentation approach. my answer is no, i can't imagine why. similiar to what the person before me answered, a person's physical age cannot accurately tell you their mental state of mind, a 39 yr old woman often times acts like she is 29, buying close that do not fit her, not in style for her age group, etc. Same with young kids, how many 13 yrs old do you know that want to be, act like, and buy the products of an 18 yr old? This si true with every age group. So if as a segmentation approach, its is extremely faulty and I cannot think of one positive that couldn't be reproduced with other segmentation methods, and many negatives. Is there any possible problem that could arise from shiseido's policy to classify its customer based on age?
yes. you can amost bet some woman that's middle age and doesn't want to be, will file a law suit on them. there are some law suit hungry people out there...they should beware
